The city’s Fateh Mosque will be hosting the Quranic event.
The competition is held in the categories of Quran recitation and memorization of the entire Quran.
Iran will have two representatives in the competition. Mojtaba Mohammadbeigi will compete in recitation and Saeed Shahrokhi will represent the country in memorization, according to Fars.
Last year, 50 memorizers and 60 reciters from 60 countries attended the contest.
It is annually organized by Turkey’s Directorate of Religious Affairs in the holy month of Ramadan.
During the holy month, various international Quran contests are held in Muslim countries.
